Terms of Use

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Hoang Le covering your use of https://hoanglebookstore.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who may use the site

You must be at least 16 to submit an email address, review, or message. You agree that any information you give us is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.

2. Our intellectual property

All content on this site — book text, cover art, illustrations, product designs, software, and written material — is owned by Hoang Le or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws.

You may read, link to, and share links to this site. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, sell, or create derivative works from our content, or use it to train machine-learning models, without prior written permission.

3. Reviews and anything else you submit

You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce, and quote it in connection with our books and their promotion, including in marketing material, with the name you supplied.

You agree not to submit anything that:

• is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene;
• infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, or privacy;
• is paid for, incentivised, or written by someone with an undisclosed connection to us or to a competitor;
• contains malware, spam, or links to unrelated commercial sites.

Every review is read before publication. We may decline, edit for length or formatting, or remove any submission, for any reason, without notice. We are not obliged to publish anything.

4. Purchases

Books bought through Amazon or another retailer are sold by that retailer, and their terms, pricing, delivery, and returns policies apply — not ours. We have no control over their fulfilment.

For anything purchased directly from this site, payment is handled by Stripe. Digital downloads are delivered immediately and, because of that, are non-refundable once downloaded except where the law requires otherwise or the file is faulty — contact us and we will make it right.

5. The giving pledge

Our pledge to contribute 50¢ from each copy sold to a veterans organisation is a voluntary personal commitment by Hoang Le. It is funded from the author’s own earnings and is not added to your purchase price. It does not create a trust, an agency relationship, or an enforceable obligation to any third party, and it does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, any government agency or veterans organisation.

6. Software and applications

Applications offered here are licensed, not sold, and are provided “as is”. They are business tools, not professional advice. Do not rely on any navigation, logistics, or financial feature as your sole source of safety-critical or tax information. You remain responsible for verifying your own records and filings.

7. Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoang Le will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of this site — even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Hoang Le against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or content you submit.

10. Third-party links

We link to Amazon, YouTube, and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, please email us — nearly everything is resolved that way. If it cannot be, the courts of the State of Texas, United States have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes and severability

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and continued use means acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
