Terms of Use

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Hoang Le covering your use of https://hoanglebookstore.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who may use the site

You must be at least 16 to submit an email address, review, or message. You agree that any information you give us is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.

2. Our intellectual property

All content on this site (book text, cover art, illustrations, product designs, software, and written material) is owned by Hoang Le or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws.

You may read, link to, and share links to this site. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, sell, or create derivative works from our content, or use it to train machine-learning models, without prior written permission.

3. Reviews and anything else you submit

You keep ownership of what you write. By submitting a review you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce, and quote it in connection with our books and products and their promotion, including in marketing material, with the name you supplied.

You agree not to submit anything that:

• is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene;
• infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, or privacy;
• is paid for, incentivised, or written by someone with an undisclosed connection to us or to a competitor;
• contains malware, spam, or links to unrelated commercial sites.

Every review is read before publication. We publish every genuine review, good or bad, and never remove one for being negative. We may decline or remove a submission that breaks the rules above, and may shorten one or fix its formatting without changing what it says.

4. Purchases

Books bought through Amazon or another retailer are sold by that retailer, and their terms, pricing, delivery, and returns policies apply, not ours. We have no control over their fulfilment.

For anything purchased directly from this site, payment is handled by Stripe. Digital downloads are delivered immediately. Refunds for them follow our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms; a file that is faulty is fixed or refunded in full.

Digital delivery. When you buy, you ask us to make your files available right away. In the EU and UK, you agree that once a download starts, you lose the 14-day right to cancel that applies to those purchases. A file that is faulty is still fixed or refunded.

Accounts. You do not need an account to buy. An account is simply the email address an order was paid with: sign in with a one-time link sent to that address, or with Google, to open your orders again. Whoever controls the email address controls the account, so keep your inbox secure.

Free picks. Every 5 purchases earn one product of your choice, free: any single product in the shop, whatever its price. A free pick must be used within 30 days of the purchase that earned it; after that it expires. A purchase is one paid order. A refunded order does not count, and a free pick is not itself a purchase or refundable.

Everything Bundle. The Everything Bundle includes every printable in the shop on the day you buy it and every printable we add to the shop afterwards, at no extra cost, for as long as the shop sells printables. New ones appear on your order page. A refunded Everything Bundle closes all of its downloads.

VIP. Free picks are for every customer. In addition, a customer who buys 30 or more items within 30 days becomes a VIP and receives a personal code for 20% off, valid for 30 days from their most recent qualifying purchase. A VIP code is personal: it works only while you are signed in to the account that earned it, and cannot be used by anyone else. An item is one product in a paid order; items in a refunded order, and free picks, do not count.

Free picks and VIP codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or sold. We may change or end these rewards at any time; anything you have already earned stays valid until the date shown in your account. We may withhold rewards obtained through abuse or fraud.

5. Refunds and fair use

Refunds follow our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: a change-of-mind refund is for the first 24 hours and only before you download; a faulty file, or one that is not as described, is fixed or refunded for 60 days; and a product bought twice is refunded within 30 days. Orders paid before October 20, 2026 keep the earlier refund policy.

We are a small shop and watch for refund patterns. If an account asks for more than $150 in refunds within 7 days, or makes 3 refund requests in 30 days, we pause it for 10 days. While an account is paused it cannot make purchases, ask for change-of-mind or bought-twice refunds, or earn or use free picks or VIP codes. It can still download everything it paid for and was not refunded, and it can still report a faulty file. After an account has been paused 3 times, a 4th time closes it permanently. Requests about faulty files never count toward these limits. We email you to say why and when a pause ends.

6. The giving pledge

Our pledge to contribute 50¢ from each copy of a book sold, and 25¢ from each digital product sold in the shop ($1 from each bundle, counted once), to a veterans organisation is a voluntary personal commitment by Hoang Le. It is funded from the author’s own earnings and is not added to your purchase price. It does not create a trust, an agency relationship, or an enforceable obligation to any third party, and it does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, any government agency or veterans organisation.

7. Software and applications

Applications offered here are licensed, not sold, and are provided “as is”. They are business tools, not professional advice. Do not rely on any navigation, logistics, or financial feature as your sole source of safety-critical or tax information. You remain responsible for verifying your own records and filings.

8. Disclaimers

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoang Le will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of this site, even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Hoang Le against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or content you submit.

11. Third-party links

We link to Amazon, YouTube, and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, please email us. Nearly everything is resolved that way. If it cannot be, the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes and severability

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and continued use means acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
