For young readers, he creates gentle bedtime and story-and-coloring books — The Journey of the Little Panda and The Five Colors of a Gentle Heart — where a lovable panda and his friends model kindness, courage, and honesty without ever lecturing.

For grown-up readers, his Love Without Borders novels — The Sea Between Us, The Keeper of the Light, Of Sea & River, and more — are tender, sweeping romances about love that distance and history cannot stop.

Rooted in Eastern heritage and a love of world folklore, Hoang blends old-world wisdom with worldwide wonder. Whether it’s a five-minute bedtime read or a love story you stay up too late to finish, every book is made to be shared.

Why every book gives back

This bookstore exists because of a veteran.

My step dad served, and he helped me more than I can put into words while I was building this business. Everything here is built on that.

So it felt wrong to keep all of it. From every copy sold, 50¢ goes to a veterans organization in his community — the people who look after service members and their families where he lives.

As this grows, so does the pledge. The goal is to widen that support to veterans well beyond one town.
