Every book and shop product gives back to veterans
Every book sold sends 50¢ to veterans, and every item sold in the shop sends 25¢, to honor my step dad — a US Army Veteran. Nothing is added to your price and there is nothing to opt into.
Why this exists
This bookstore exists because of a veteran.
My step dad served, and he helped me more than I can put into words while I was building this business. Everything here is built on that.
So it felt wrong to keep all of it. From every copy sold, 50¢ goes to a veterans organization in his community — the people who look after service members and their families where he lives.
As this grows, so does the pledge. The goal is to widen that support to veterans well beyond one town.
The man this is for
To take good care of veterans who protected the United States.
My step dad is a US Army veteran. He served, he came home, and he has spent the years since being the kind of man people go to when they need something — not because he has plenty, but because giving is simply how he is built.
He is one of the most generous people I have ever known. Warm-hearted in a way that is hard to describe until you have been on the receiving end of it. He gives his time, his help, and his patience without ever once making you feel like you owe him for it.
When I was building this business, he backed me. Not with speeches — with showing up, again and again, in all the quiet ways that actually matter. I would not be doing any of this without him.
I admire him more than I know how to say. So this pledge is not charity, and it is not marketing. It is the closest thing I have to a thank you that keeps going — his service, turned back toward the people who served alongside him.
How it works
Three steps. Every copy.

You buy a book or a shop item
Any book, in any format, from any retailer, or any download from the shop. Nothing extra is added to your price.
- 02
50¢ or 25¢ is set aside
Fifty cents from every book sold, and twenty-five from every shop item, is reserved from my own earnings. A bundle sends one dollar.
- 03
It goes to veterans
Funds go to a veterans organization serving my step dad’s community.
Straight about the details
This is a personal pledge, not a formal partnership — the organization is chosen locally and the amount comes out of my earnings, never added to your price. It is 50¢ for every copy of a book sold and 25¢ for every digital product sold in the shop. A bundle sends $1, once, whatever is in it. As the business grows, so does the pledge, with the goal of supporting veterans well beyond one community. Questions about it are welcome — just get in touch.
