Free Mid-Autumn Festival coloring pages

16 coloring pages from the Mid-Autumn Festival — also called the Moon Festival or the Mooncake Festival — drawn one per bedtime story, eleven for each of eight countries. Print as many as you like.

These are the coloring pages from the Once Upon a Lantern books — a star lantern, a lion dance, a jade rabbit, a boat let go on the water. Two pages from each of the eight countries are here to print; the other nine in each book stay in the book. Pick one, open the PDF, print it on ordinary US Letter paper. How to print them

  • Every page is a US Letter PDF, portrait. Print at 100% — “fit to page” shrinks the line art and leaves a margin you did not ask for.
  • Ordinary printer paper is fine for pencils. If your child works in marker, anything heavier stops the bleed-through.
  • Print as many copies as you want, for your family, your classroom or your library. They stay free.

Where these pictures come from

Each page belongs to a bedtime story. The eight Once Upon a Lantern books hold eleven tales each, written for ages 4–10, with a word search and a full-page coloring picture after every story — so the page your child is coloring has something to be about. The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Friday 25 September 2026.
