Common questions

Can I try Dock-Yard Management before buying?

Yes. There is a shared demo account with working credentials on the Dock-Yard Management page — no form to fill in and no waiting for a reply. It is a sandbox, so please do not put real customer or load data in it.

Do I need to install anything, or buy hardware?

No. Dock-Yard Management runs in a browser on the tablets and phones your team already carries. It can be installed to a home screen and opens like an app, and there is no terminal, scanner, or dedicated device to buy.

Does it work without a connection?

Partly. The app is installable and will open without a connection, but live door and trailer status needs one — it is built for facilities with network coverage across the yard. If patchy coverage is a concern for your site, ask and we will be straight with you about it.

Can I get our existing paperwork in?

Yes. Inbound and outbound records import from CSV or Excel, and a paper manifest can be photographed and read in with OCR rather than retyped.

How do drivers get assigned a door?

A driver checks themselves in at the gate kiosk with carrier, trailer and load type. The system sets their yard status, dispatch assigns a dock door, and the driver is notified — nobody has to walk out to meet the truck.

What does it cost?

Dock-Yard Management is priced per facility after a conversation, because a two-door operation and a twenty-door one are not the same product. Use Contact sales and you will get a straight answer, not a quote form.

Who are these built for?

Gig workers tracking what they actually earn after fuel, fees and mileage — and small warehouses, carriers and 3PLs that need dependable yard tools without enterprise pricing or an enterprise rollout.
